London, 12 March 2020 Fernhay Partners is excited to announce that it is partnering with Transport for London’s FreightLab, as part of the Mayor of London’s Civic Innovation Challenge we will deploy our complete van free freight delivery system this year.
The deployment is part of the Mayor of London’s Civic Innovation Challenge, designed to address some of London’s greatest social and mobility challenges. As outlined in the Mayor’s Freight and Servicing Action Plan and the Mayor’s Transport Strategy, the freight sector is a significant contributor to environmental, congestion, and safety risks across the city, and in collaboration with TfL, the FreightLab challenge was created to address these obstacles. This project will test how six successful innovation driven companies including Fernhay, can help to make the way goods and services move around London safer, cleaner and more efficient.
‘Working with TfL and partners is a fantastic opportunity for us to take our full containerisation system to production and scale in this great city of London. Our vision is for thriving livable cities, where freight is delivered in low carbon ways, cities are clean, the air is fresh, and people enjoy the spaces around them equitably now and in the future.’
